
Good evening
I hope everyone is enjoying this lovely Tuesday. Today was a day that I needed to slow everything down, and just take things easy. I guess because of the rain outside here in the STL, it helps people realize to take advantage of the moment, and to let things slow down and be less stressful.
I wanted to share with you all my goals for the month of September. Let’s start with health:
HEALTH (PHYSICAL): Continue to focus on weight, and being more active. Jump rope has been fun with Dad, but it’s time for me to turn things up a notch. My diabetes is still a little weak, but I know now that in order for me to feel good, I need to fuel my body with good things, healthy food that is going to give me energy, and make me feel satisfied. Not stuffed, not full, but satisfied.
HEALTH (MENTAL): Also, starting Yoga and learning to create a routine that works for me and my body, and stay consistent with it to help me reduce stress levels. I slowly got into the habit of reading again, so I’ll start the month of September right with a good novel, whether its a physical book or an audiobook. I enjoy reading, it’s the reason why I love writing. Thank you libraries, novels, and audiobooks everywhere for this special hobby.
THE GABBY DIARIES: I feel really good about how the blog is going. Thank you to my readers that are still hanging in there with me. My other goal is to continue to stay consistent, and keep writing. August was a busy month for me, both work and school. No more excuses for this month, I’m going to do my best to create more content. I’ve got some great things in store for the blog, so stay tuned.
PASSION PROJECTS: I have a few more artsy projects up my sleeve that I’ve been working on. There are still works-in-progress, but I can’t wait to share them with you all. I’m not just a writer, I’m much more than that.
VISUAL COMMUNICATIONS CLASS– Today is now Week 04 of my Visual Communication class. I will give you all an update on how I conquered the camera, and sharing my thoughts on assignments with my class. Three weeks down, two more to go. Let’s do this!
SELF-CARE/SELF-LOVE: The one thing that has been neglected the most during this pandemic is my skin. I created a skincare routine last year, but I fell off the same time that I fell off working out. Starting today, I will recreate my skincare routine so that I can have healthy looking skin, and continue to have healthy looking skin. Also, this week, I’m going to take time to take better care of myself. During this pandemic, I’ve probably paid attention to my body, my mind, and my soul for thirty percent of the time when I’m working. I’m letting the day pass me by, instead of taking time to listen and understand how important everyday is. So time for a little more care and love for…me.
PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT: I’ve learned so much during this time, but I don’t think I’m retaining it. I’ll use my time wisely to listen to podcasts, audiobooks, and YouTube to learn something new everyday. The things I research are things that can help me with blog and creating a brand (I told you, I have big ideas). 2020 has not been a horrible year, it’s been an awesome year, especially for learning and self-discovery.
